Project Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Environmental Scientist

ALTUS Environmental has an opening for a Project Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Environmental Scientist in our Boulder Office.  The individual applying should hold a bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science and have 4 to 7 years of environmental consulting experience in LUST site characterization and remediation. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science

• Four (4) to seven (7) years environmental consulting experience in LUST site characterization and remediation

• Must possess excellent written and communication skills

• Must have great attention to detail

• Must demonstrate self-motivation and resourcefulness

• Proficient in CAD, MS Office, and MODLFOW or equivalent

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training

• Listed Consultant with Colorado Division of Oil and Public Safety a plus

• Must have clean driving record and pass pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities of the position will entail:

- Air, soil, and groundwater sampling
- Drilling oversight and geologic interpretation
- Excavation oversight and tank closure sampling
- ISCO implementation and oversight
- Remediation system installation oversight
- Permitting and scheduling
- Subcontractor oversight and procurement
- Data review, analysis, and report preparation
- Client and regulatory communications
- Phase I ESAs
- 50/50 office/field time

Project Engineer
ALTUS Environmental has an opening for a Project Engineer in our Boulder Office.  The individual applying should hold an engineering degree and have 4 or more years of remedial engineering and project experience. Professional Engineer licensing, field experience, and experience working with Colorado OPS are a plus.
